This historic monument and rum distillery was built in 1658 by Benjamin Berringer and is currently one of the only three genuine Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere. Here you can view the steam mill in action, have a taste of fresh sugar cane, attend a tasting of 5-18 year old rums and cane syrup or simply explore the beautiful great house. They have also recently added a new attraction, the Heritage Railway. The steam locomotive will take you around the plantation grounds stopping at Cherry Tree Hill where you can admire the incredible view. This stop offers an interesting history lesson and tons of fun.
